Doniphan Elementary School serves Kindergarten through Second Grade in Southeast Missouri along the beautiful Current River. We have a wonderful staff of over 40 and around 360 awesome students.

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! We are so excited to welcome our students and families back to Doniphan Elementary School. A new school year brings new opportunities to learn, grow, make friends, and create wonderful memories, and we are looking forward to making this a successful and exciting year for every student.

Important Back-to-School Dates
Open House: 📅 Thursday, August 20 ⏰ 5:00–7:00 p.m.
Open House is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to meet their teachers, visit classrooms, and get ready for the new school year. We hope to see everyone there!
First Day of School: 📅 Tuesday, August 25
On the first day of school only, parents and guardians may walk their child to their classroom between 7:15 and 7:45 a.m. This special opportunity is intended to help our students feel comfortable and confident as they begin the new school year. After the first day, we will transition to our regular morning arrival procedures.
Daily School Hours: Tuesdays-Fridays
Elementary Office Hours: 7:15 a.m.–4:00 p.m. School Hours: 7:45 a.m.–3:45 p.m.
As we begin the year, we encourage families to establish routines that help students arrive at school on time, prepared, and ready to learn. Consistent attendance and punctuality are important parts of student success.
At Doniphan Elementary, we believe that great schools are built on strong partnerships between students, families, and educators.
